English lenguage challenges

Hi readers, how are you? Today I have a mix of senses, I'm happy because vacations are coming soon, and I think you are exited too, but I'm also a little bit sad because I've known a lot of great people here and we are not going to meet again so easily. But the main thing that makes me write this last post is to talk about learning english this year. 

To start, I have to say that the english classes this year were very good. I feel that I learn a lot of new contents and vocabulary. We also know each other as we have the opportunity to interact with each one of the class in the different activities during the course. Besides, this class helps me to notice what things I have to improve, and one of those is the fluency when I'm reading because I always make little mistakes during my reading. to improve this I thing that I'm going to read more things in english and continue with the exercise of watch movies with the audio and the subtitles in english. About the blogs, I thing that it's a good tool to practice and learn english and mixed it with the contents of the class it's more funny and attractive and it's a way to use the technology in the process of learning that works very well.

Well, apart of the exercise with the movie that I mentioned previously, I don't use so much english in my life. I try to use it every time I can like listening to music or setting the video games in english, but I don't use it much with my friends or my family. Maybe this could be a thing that I should change to improve my english level. 

So, as a resume, I really enjoy the enlgish classes this semester, I think we all learn a lot and I know that there are some things that could be better and I have to work to improve it. Thanks you guys for read the blogs and hope to see you again in another class. 

  

Changes to my study programme

Hi there, are you happy today? I know we are closing the semester and that make us being tired, and stressful. I hope this post helps you to get distract of everything. So, today I'm going to talk about my career programme.

I think the curriculum is one of the most important things, in fact, that's why I'm studying this, because I saw the curriculum and it looks very interesting and attractive, and, at least for this year, de different courses that I've attended were accord to the expectation of them.  About the length of te career I think that it's okay, at least is the average of length, about five years, and the workload depends on the teachers. Some of them believe that his/her course is the most important one, and they don´t understand that you have other five courses to approve. But there al also those teachers that empathise with the students and the workload is lower. 

If there is one thing that is pending is the infrastructure. The buildings where we are now has capacity for approximately five hundred people, but now we are more of six hundred and the next year we must share this small place with another career. The building doesn't have a cafeteria, the library has a second floor that we can't use because it maybe will collapse, we don´t have an elevator for disables people. We have a big pending here.

About the use of technology I think it's very important for the learning process and have to take courses of excel and others programs like this is very helpful. Maybe it could be a second course this programs because they are very important. Finally, I think that teaching methods depends on every teacher, but maybe they could consider including more practical work to complement the theory that we learn in the classroom.     

   

My favorite book!

I must start recognizing that I always hate to read at school because I think that if you are going to read a book is because you want and not because you are obligated to do it, but in this situation we have the opportunity to read a lot of greats books and the one that I like and enjoy most was "Cien años de soledad" by Gabriel García Márquez, who is also my favorite author. An honourable mention for Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, another masterpiece in literature.  

I really like this book because it makes you to get into the history and feel identified with the characters and the different situations or problems that they have to sort out. And I chose G.G.Márquez because I admire his capacity for create different histories and characters and how, in some of his books, he mixed some of them. I can make a list of greats books of him like Relatos de un náufrago, Del amor y otros demonios, or La triste historia de Cándida Eréndida. 

I think I don't have a favorite type of books, I like historical ones, "magic realism", love histories, etc. I only need a motivation to read and after that any book is a good one to read it.       

I don´t remember exactly which was the last book that a read, but i think it was "Un mundo feliz" by Aldous Huxley. It's about a dystopia where humans are created by a machine and emotions are controlled by drugs.  

Postgraduate Estudies

Hi dears friends! How you doing? In this post I'm going to tell you about what postgraduate course I'm thinking to take.

I'm really into the topic that I'm studying, which is Public Administration, and I think that i will continue deepening in that taking the course of "strategic management in the public sector". If you ask me why, my answer is because I believe that management in this sector is one of the most important things, you must know what to do with the money you have, the employees, the technology, an how to the job in the quickest way possible. I will also take this course because I already know the teacher that teach it, her name is Katherine Ross and is one of the best teachers that I've have in my short live in this career. 

This postgraduate course is imparted in this university, so I wouldn't need to get abroad to take it, but if some things change, for example Mrs. Katherine don't teach it anymore, or I get the possibility to do it for free in a foreign country, it is very possible that I will take the opportunity to travel and study in another country.   

I really want to take a part time course to have the opportunity of work and study at the same time, but it will depends in the last point I mention, if I'm studying here or in another country.

My dreamed job

this maybe could be a surprise because we are all studying public administration but today I'm going to tell you about my dreamed job, which is being a football trainer. 

I would also like to work for the government, that's why I'm here, but my biggest passions are sports, specifically football. I imagine myself sharing knowledge with young people who have the same passion and helping them to become what they want. I think this maybe could be a mash up of an outdoor and an indoor activity because it depends on what you what to improve, maybe you will need to work at the gym or you will need to train in the field. I think in this job stay in a place for a long time is very necessary but of course if I have the opportunity to travel I will take it, but first you have to think in your family. If there is only one thing that I don't like of this job is the excessive salary that football clubs pay to their trainers, I can´t say that I will say no to that amount but I think that the motivation and the love for the sport and teach it it´s bigger than the money. So, like I said before, I'm studying a very different thing, so I'm thinking to take the course of trainer in the INAF after I finish my studies here and work a few years.   

So, i hope to make real my dream and I also hope that you could do it too!!!

          

My Favorite food!

Hi there, how you doing? Today I'm going to tell you which is my favorite food. I think maybe a lot of you will be agree with me that Lasagna is one of the best, if it isn't THE BEST preparation in the world. I really thanks to the first ones who cooked it and share it to the rest of the world. My favorite restaurant maybe could not be related with lasagna but i thing is the best one, at least of the ones that I have been, is "Casa Bosque" in Cajón del Maipo.   

About cooking, it's one of my favorite things to do in my free times. Since I was a child i enjoy helping my mom to prepare the lunch or the dinner, and currently the ones who cooked the lunch in my house are my sister and me. It's like a way to get distracted of the routine and to express love to your family ( it sounds like a big old cliché, but I thing its real jajaja). In the university I usually eat for lunch what we cooked with my sister. We always try to do the most exhausting preparations in Sunday's evenings and the easy ones to do during the week because both of us are studying at the university so we don't have so much time.

 

My favorite Film!

Hi there readers, this time I'm going to tell you about my favourite movie: Saving private Ryan.

I'm not really into war stuffs or somethings like that, I also hate watching people killing ones to others but I think this movie has something else. I don't know if you have watched this movie so I'm not going to tell you all the complete history but i will say that its about a professor who is a very important Captain of the US Army during the WWII who was ordered to find Private Ryan and get him back to home with his mom after all of his brothers died in the war. But the movie goes a lot far of only saving him, it also shown how important loyalty it is, how strong could an idea bee, and a lot of other moral dilemmas.

I really don't have a favourite movie gender, i enjoy all of them, but maybe a have an inclination for those ones that have everything, like comedy, tragedy, love and action at the same time, like the Sherlock Holmes ones or all of the MCU (Marvel´s universe).

The last movie I watched was Coco, the famous animated one about dead's day in mexico and the famous song "remember me".  I definitely recommend to watch it, it was the fourth time i watched an it was also the fourth time y cried with it.
